Morning Routine: Feed your Body, Mind, and Soul

Every morning you should feed your soul, body, and mind. If you can feed those first in the morning you will set yourself up for a great day!

The first hour of your day is the most important hour because it sets the tone for the rest of your day. The other day I was listening to a podcast about Dean Graziosi and his new book called ‘Millionaire Success Habits’.

In his book he talks about his morning routine and how he feeds his body, mind, and soul every morning.

Feed your soul

Waking up with a grateful heart is one of the most powerful things you can do to start your day. I love to write down 3 things I’m grateful for every morning. They are usually different and small things, but pointing those out creates a lot of gratitude and gratitude is the best state we can be in!

Something cool Dean Graziosi talked about was finding gratitude at the lowest level. He says sometimes the problem is when people begin to have great success they only have gratitude if they reach the next step or reach new levels of personal achievement.

What he means by this is having the ability to wake up and be grateful for the simple things in your life. About 150,000 people die every day so just the fact that you wake up and have good health is something to be very grateful for.

Spend time to pray and read scriptures or things that really uplift the soul and create peace.

Feed your Mind

One of the most important things you can do is to spend time to meditate and visualize your desires and dreams as if you had already achieved them. Spend time in the morning to calm the mind and visualize great things.

Find time to read something uplifting or inspiring that puts you in a good state to attack the day. Reading a simple quote or a chapter in a self-help book can realign your focus to start  your day.

Set goals and make plans for the day. Setting up structure and things to accomplish gives you a higher level of purpose during the course of your day.

Feed your body

Drink lemon water and have a good healthy Breakfast to fuel your body for the day. Avoid sugary foods and breads in the morning and stick to green smoothies, eggs, vegetables, and clean protein sources.

Breakfast is an essential meal for the day so whether you cook it and take it with you (if you do intermittent fasting) for later or eat it before work make sure you put in the time to feed your body the right foods!

Make sure to create enough time to eat a healthy breakfast or take it with you! When you a prepared eating healthy is a lot easier!

  • Drink 20 0z of water with a lemon to begin your day
  • Have a green smoothie
  • Eat a healthy Breakfast to provide good energy.

Exercise

One of the hardest habits to get into is to wake up and exercise in the morning, but when you do it the results are amazing!

Exercising in the morning provides great energy and awakens the body for the rest of the day.

Remember to feed your soul, body, and energy during the first hour of your day! The way you start your day sets up the rest of your day. Focus on the 3 DOs and create your own morning routine that fits your schedule!
