Ideas/Tools to Make 2017 Your Year

2017 is going to be your year!! Here are some ideas and tools to help you have an amazing year! These ideas below helped us achieve some of our proudest goals of our careers during the year 2016! Check it out!

Make a Dream Board

A dream board is where you place pictures, words or symbols that display your goals so you can visually see them everyday. Before my senior year at BYU I had the goals of being the all time leader in rebounds and assists. I also wanted to break the career triple double record and instead of just breaking the record of 7 I finished my career with 12. I also wanted to win the MVP of the WCC. On my dream board I put pictures up and words reminding me of my goals. I put my dream board up in a place that I would see every day. I’m blessed to say that I was able to achieve all these goals that I mentioned. Visually seeing your goals everyday in ways that you can relate to and understand triggers your subconscious mind to constantly figure out how to achieve your goals for you. Remember your subconscious mind never takes a break it works for you 24/7. By visually seeing your goals your subconscious mind works for you even when you don’t even know it. Panda Planner

I love to use the Panda planner to organize my daily, weekly, and monthly goals. It’s a great way to prioritize your goals and things you need to do. One thing I love about this planner is that it has on the top left of each page for the day a section that says, “Things I’m grateful for” and it has three spaces to fill out. Dry Erase Markers and Mirror

Something simple Shea and I like to do is use a dry eraser marker and write our goals on the mirror every morning and night so that we visually see ourselves writing them down and visually see it up on the mirror. Shea would write on the mirror top 3 everyday and her goal was to finish 3rd place or better at Outdoor Nationals in the 800m. At the time when she first wrote down the goal it seemed like it was a stretch, but she ended up finishing 3rd overall that year in the 800m. She wrote in down everyday and say it out loud and she was able to achieve an amazing goal. It’s a very simple thing and it’s very easy to get into the habit of, but I believe it brings great results. Again doing this triggers our subconscious mind to figure out ways for us to achieve our goals. I’m a big believer in the subconscious mind and it’s ability to help us achieve our dreams.
